I've read several Asian-adoptee's biographies, and while they are all soul-searching and deal with difficult family dynamics (whether through their birth family, adoptive family, or both,) I'd say Mei-Ling Hopgood's account of her families and why exactly she is such a lucky girl was an excellent read. As a journalist, she definately has the skills to tell this, her own, story.

I really enjoyed this book. I believe it could be used in a classroom for the cultural knowledge shared.
