It was ok. I really like the way it was strung together and the story itself was really original. I don't think I've ever read a story quite like this one. And it had an unexpected ending as well which was nice. I didn't catch on until right before it happened.

This has become one of my favorite books. I tried this book out to do a different genre for my book club than I usually read and I'm glad I did. I wasn't sure what I was going to think because I'm not really a fan of horror, but this didn't really strike me as horror. Books that make me think about what I should be doing as a Christian are books that really stick with me, and that's what Scream did for me. Consider all those people you know in your life. Do you know without a doubt that they are going to heaven? If not, what are you going to do about it or what should you do. That is what Scream makes me think about. This book will definitely be highly recommended to everyone I know. I loved it.

Scream is the first book I have read by Mike Dellosso. After reading it, I am definitely interested in getting my hands on The Hunted.

I was touched how the truth really never leaves us. Scream reminded me how important it is to share our faith and let people in on the saving love of Jesus Christ. Truly there is a time in our lives where we will breathe our last breath. This is true for us, and it is true for those we love. But do the people we love know God?

Two stories begin and eventually entertwine with Scream. We meet Mark who while speaking to his friend over the phone hears these incredibly painful, tormenting screams. Mark immediately thinks of Hell and wailing and gnashing of teeth. I wonder if a person who is not a Christian would have come to the same conclusion. It certainly was where my mind went. Each time Mark speaks to someone over the phone and hears these screams, death follows.

Meanwhile, we are also following Judge. A man who is on a mission of vengence. He is kidnapping innocent women in order to settle a score with the guilty. Judge is a conflicted character who repeatedly says he is not a monster, because he is being more humane to these women than a psychopath might. Funny how someone kidnapping innocent women could ever think he is not a monster.

I really enjoyed reading Scream. It gave me the reminder that life is short, and I really do need to share my great love for my savior to others. I liked that the characters behaved like the failed human beings they were. Life and people are not simple, and it was refreshing reading about characters who were fallible and complex.

I love thrillers and this one did not disappoint! Mike Dellosso created characters that were very believable. People that you wanted to cheer on and tell them not to give up hope. The pace of the book was perfect - it kept you turning the pages, but did not give away any secrets too soon.

Scream really starts out as two stories - and as the book progresses the two stories combine to make for a great ending! I especially loved the way the message of Christ was delivered without getting "pushy" or "in your face." This would be a great book for a non-believer or one right on the fence. It made me take a look at whether or not I was telling everyone that I knew about Christ's love and sacrifice - and sadly, that answer is no. So now I get to decide how I will change that!

Thanks Mike for writing such a wonderful thriller while including Christ's message. I can't wait to pass it on to my friends who are not believers. Hopefully it will give me the opportunity to strike up some meaningful conversations.

Scream by Mike Dellosso is a great addition to the growing genre of Christian horror. Writing in the tradition of Frank Peretti and Dean Koontz, Dellosso offers ups thrills and chills along with a message of faith. Mark Stone is trying to pick up the pieces of his life after his wife left him when he hears some strange screams on the phone when talking to a friend. He is deeply shaken when the friend dies immediately after the screams, and his fear grows when the screams happen again...and again, and every time someone dies. It sends Mark on a quest to discover the source of the screams and the truth about the existence of hell. But when he hears the screams while talking to his estranged wife, his quest becomes deeply personal and urgent. Dellosso taps into the reader's deepest fears and questions about hell and faith without ever preaching. I enjoyed his conversations with different ministers to get their take on hell and faith. It's a book to keep you up late at night and then make you think deeply about your own faith.

This novel caught me on page on. I'm a big fan of mysteries and this is one of the best I've read.

Scream is fast-moving, twisted, believable and full of thrills novel. The main character, Mark Stone, hears screams and then seconds later his friend is killed in an accident. As Mark continues to hear screams, each time they are followed by a death. When he finds out his wife has been abducted he begins his frantic search to find her before it's too late. How does his lack of faith grow stronger and help him on this journey?

Mike Dellosso’s “Scream” is exactly that. This thrilling novel is “keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat” suspenseful, yet doesn’t forget its purpose: to show the importance of choosing a relationship with Christ. This story weaves between two seemingly unrelated tales of suspense each surrounding a lonely man who has lost at love: one, the story of a man who hears otherworldly screams while talking on the telephone only to learn that the person he was talking to has died; the second, the story of a very different man who is preying upon women to atone for his lost love.

I was gripped immediately by the characters and the story. The author left me with a new cliffhanger at the end of each chapter that kept me turning pages until well past my bedtime. Mike Dellosso is my new favorite Christian thriller author!

Mark Stone never thought one phone call would turn his world upside down. While driving home one night he receives a call from his friend that is interrupted by a series of horrendous and piercing screams. Immediately after the screams his friend dies in a horrible car accident. As Mark searches for answers, he unwittingly finds himself involved in more similar incidents that lead to more horrible deaths. Things become even more personal when his wife is kidnapped by a madman and the same eerie screams are heard over her desperate phone call for help. Now Mark is in a race against time and evil as he desperately tries to find his wife before he loses her once and for all.

Mike Dellosso has once again brought us an engaging thriller full of gut-wrenching suspense and strong spiritual truth. In this impressive debut, The Hunted, Dellosso stormed onto the scene proving he has what it takes to scare the wits out of his audience while at the same time delivering a challenging and relevant message. Scream ups the ante on all levels bringing us even more terror, more suspense, and ultimately more heart.

Mark Stone is a fallible, yet endearing character that you can’t help but pull for from the opening chapter. His resilient search for truth and meaning provides the perfect backdrop for this incredibly creepy premise. Mark’s struggles as a husband are also effectively explored throughout and help to bring more depth to this engaging thrill ride.

There is much controversy surrounding the mix of the horror genre with inspirational fiction. I’m thrilled to see that authors like Mike Dellosso are consistently churning out novels that prove how powerful this type of storytelling can be. Indeed, Scream will have you breathlessly flying through the pages and closely examining your heart at the same time. Mike Dellosso is a bright new talent that demands to be noticed.
