“A delightful sweet memoir. The drawing although simple, is so personal and compelling.”

I enjoyed reading it, though. I love the idea of working through difficult things through creativity (whatever it is for you). ”

A man's wife falls onto the subway tracks and has her spinal cord crushed. This collection of sketches is not only a journal of love and recovery, but of learning to see things with new eyes.”

Everyday Matters is a couple of things, all wrapped up into one. It is the story of a man whose life changes when his wife suffers a spinal cord injury, and who struggles to deal with that. His life is turned upside down; he worries about their child, his wife, his own physical and emotional health. But one thing he discovers that helps him slow down and appreciate his life is that he starts sketching and journaling. The book is also a collection of his sketches, along with journal entries. We see his wife, his child, his dog, ordinary objects from his life (his shoes, the medicine cabinet, NY pigeons, cans of Chef Boyaredee). The book and Gregory's website have inspired lots of folks hoping to boost their own creativity and to learn that every day matters. ”
