This book was great for teaching how the events occurring in Wm. Shakespeare's life influenced his works. You TRULY cannot understand fully any of Shakespeare's poems or plays without knowing something of the cultural and political climate of Elizabethan England. *Sometimes*, the chapters would stray a little from erudite and interesting to overly academic, but it was a rare occurrence.
