I loved it. The best since "Jitterbug Perfume".

Funny-ish, somewhat enjoyable, but overall forgetable (which I did! I read this probably 2 years ago, and only just remembered to add to my shelf.) Hardly TR's best.

I'm sitting here thinking that I can't disparage Tom Robbins because I really believe he's a brilliant writer. However, I didn't really like this one. It read like Robbins had a couple of different ideas floating around for books, couldn't make any of them into a complete story, so he put them all in one. Nevertheless, brilliant metaphors, great dialog, and bizarre twists and turns. Always entertaining to read one of his books.

Funny and neato, albeit a little anticlimactic. Still worth reading, though :)

Off beat would be an understatement. Animals, drugs, love, circus performers, and MIA's ... All at the same time? That definitely qualifies as different.
