Waking injured and without his memory, Hugh follows clues about himself to court. While there, he is commanded to protect princess Sorcha. She is in disgrace with her father but still in need of protection. Sorcha trusts no man after being duped into marriage, ruined, and exiled in disgrace. But still she yearns for Hugh's arm to surround her in safety and desire. As secrets are revealed, will they be torn apart? That question kept me reading and enjoying this tale.
