i just reread brown girl in the ring because i recommended it to someone this weekend. i like to make responsible recommendations, if i can help it. this is nalo hopkinson's debut and it's a great read. i loved it again, the second time. and, it made me want to read everything else she's written. hopkinson's women and men are complex and lovely and human (and it was easy to love them) and this book really was my introduction to afro-caribbean gods. i love how hopkinson's people and...
