I think that being sucked back to Oklahoma was a nice little twist - but it was heart wrenching to watch Clint fall in love with Shannon. He was such a great guy and deserving of the love that she could give him. But of course, her heart is with ClanFintan back in Partholon, where she truly does belong as Epona's Beloved. The end to this book is pretty sad and too sudden for me. The best part was that Rhiannon had a little reality check at the end - that SO needed to happen. I guess for me - there was just so much grief and needless deaths in this book - it made it a much more solemn book to read than the first one. Still, I totally enjoyed it and can't wait to read book 3. ”

An entertaining and amusing book with a "divine" human female and her centaur husband in a mythic world. Just fun and entertainment. Want a little light reading? This is a good one. ”

Yes | No“In the second book in the Partholon series, Shannon finds herself sucked out of her marital bliss in the alternate reality of Parthelon back to Oklahoma. She must defeat Rhiannon and Nuada (again- he was the main bad guy in Divine by Mistake), while struggling with her feelings for her husband's mirror. I prefer this series to Cast's House of Night series. Some of her diction still annoys me, like the constant references to the 'booger monster,' which sounds ridiculously absurd. I also saw the end coming, but oh well. Either way, this series is fun and not time consuming. ”

In the first book, Oklahoma school teacher Shannon is dragged into an alternate magical world where she turns out to be the avatar for a goddess, marries a centaur and defeats some really bad bad guys. In this book, she's dragged Back to Oklahoma and has to figure out how to get back home to the centaur she loves. She has to deal with her alternate self, her best friend (and the best friend's bad marriage), her father, and the alternate “this universe” parallel to the guy she's married to. It's an interesting book with some interesting ideas. I enjoyed it a lot.”
