made me laugh and cry; this book was wonderful and i loved the main character for doing what she knew she had to do, instead of trying to save something with her husband.

I'm beginning to read, "The Goddesses of Kitchen Avenue," by Barbara Samuel.

It appears to be about a group of women, their joys, and difficulties in life. I like this passage:

"...figuring out what to let go and what to keep is just as difficult as moving on."

I'm currently in the process (it's actually a never ending process) of going through things (stuff, stuff, & more stuff) and figuring out what to sell on eBay, what to give away, sell locally on Craig's List, and, of course, what to keep. I always hope the process will get easier, but it never does ~~ especially with my doggie interruptions ~~ and constant need to clean the house, and other domestic chores one must do. I wonder how life would be if all these chores were done by someone else ~~ can you imagine the extra time to read, have coffee with friends, and spend time with our horses? Wow!

I'm not usually a big fan of the open-ended plots of "women's fiction," but I do so enjoy Barbara Samuel's writing.
