I love everything Gowdy has written. Her characters are often quirky (some even proboscidean), but warmly portrayed. Even in this novel, there is a certain tenderness despite the heinous crimes committed or considered.

A purely glamorized look at child abduction. Pretty lame if you ask me. Although it did make me think of that creepy vacuum cleaner store on birch st. I am a freak.
