This time round, I only really seemed to enjoy it as it came to be the big twist. However, there's some really nice imagery (that little bit about the rain sounding like fingers tapping on the window.. :) ) and some interesting themes. For example, I doubt that I picked up on the free will v determinism debates when I first read it haha. The twist was good (I'd managed to forget it..) but the book left me feeling annoyed- not at the writer but at one or more of the characters. The fact that I got pretty attached can't be a bad thing, though. ”

As Martyn's Pig's mom isn't with them anymore, nothings the same. He has started to do drugs, and drink just like his father. His name Martyn Pig, which everyone makes fun of. He can't stand it anymore. His father is now an alcoholic, and treats him with disrespect. But could Martyn go to far with the fact that his father is never home, but when he is, he's always drunk? One day as Martyn is sitting home watching television, he asks his dad if he could be quiet. Martyn's father was screaming at the top of his lungs, and he lays back and relaxes in his chair. But Martyn gets to annoyed, and Martyn pushes him. But could the push have gone too far this time? As the body lies there in the living room next to the fire place, martyn's friend Alex stares. Does Martyn get accused of murder, or does he never tell about his father? Does Martyn live his life, with the fact inside him that he pushed his father to far, or does he confess?
Recommendation:
Read this book, it's really good and i couldn't put it down when i first picked it up. I recommend this book to really anyone who is interested in mysteries. Anyone can read this book. Read it.”
