Ken Follett’s World Without End provides a wonderful look at English life during the early to mid-fourteenth century. Although this book is considered a sequel to Follett’s Pillars of the Earth, World Without End is in fact set two hundred year after the conclusion of Pillars. The story, however,...

Great sequel to Pillars of the Earth-although I liked the first one better. Facinating saga of life in the middle ages.

By the time I finished this book, it felt like these people were my friends and I couldn't believe I wouldn't be reading about them again 'tomorrow.' LOL

This stands alone from it's predecessor , "Pillars of the Earth", since it takes place 200 years later, but there is some reference to earlier characters and of course the cathedral that is central to the prior book. "World Without End" is a very absorbing tale of various characters, filled with intrigue, sorrow and triumph, and a very interesting snapshot of the feudal time period.

It, like the first book, was incredible. Wonderful characters and story. I was a bit disappointed with the ending - it seemed to come out of nowhere.

I really enjoyed Pillars of the Earth, and it was great to read a sequel.
