Celebrity chef, Stanley Chipotle, comes to town for a barbecue cook-off and Lula sees him get his head chopped off. Now, the killers are after Lula. Lula, Stephanie, Grandma Mazur, and Connie sign up for the cook-off thinking it will help them find the killers before they find Lula. In the meantime, someone is robbing RangeMan's accounts and Stephanie is trying to help Ranger find out who since it appears it could be an inside job.

You would think I would be tired of this series since we're at book fifteen now, not counting the between the numbers books. But, I'm not. I thought this was hilarious. How can you not laugh when Grandma Mazur and Lula get together? I will admit the whole Morelli/Ranger thing wears a little thin sometimes, but maybe that's because I can't eat donuts and fried chicken all the time and have two hot guys both pining for me. ;) Anyway, this is definitely not great literature, but if you're looking for a fun read and lots of laughs, this book is the way to go. I'm looking forward to the next installment in my "guilty pleasure" series.

For some reason this book seemed to be a little slow. The last few chapters are finally laugh out loud funny but it took me a while to get to that point. Stephanie and Joe are on the "outs", Rangeman is in a fix and thinks Stephanie can help. Some sparks there but no action. Lulu witnesses a murder and spends the rest of the book trying to avoid becoming the next victim. Grandma is helping cook up some BBQ and of course a car or two bites the dust. All in all ,a must read for Plum fans but if I was just starting to read the series I would wait on this one until you are hooked on the characters in Evanovich's earlier books. I started with High Five and laughed so much I thought I was going to be asked to leave the train or shut-up. Then I went to One for the Money and the rest is history.

I have always found this series entertaining and a lot of fun to read. This one, however, was a real disappointment. I felt as if she's mailing it in.

fantastic laugh out loud romp in the life of stephanie and her friends. Grandma is a pip as usual, and LUla is at her over the top best while stephanie waffles between ranger and Joe as she tries to keep cars from blowing up and getting stolen.

I don't think you can get any better than Janet Evanovich when you want a good laugh. She keeps Stephanie Plum as funny and zany in this book as in the previous fourteen. Already waiting for sixteen!

Amusing as always and find myself laughing out loud more often than not. Fast read but am getting really tired of reading the whole Morelli/Ranger dilemma. I actually was sick of that part of the story a long time ago.
