Paul Farmer's passion and commitment are awesome and equally amazing is Tom White's steadfast support throughout the years. It's a must read for everyone.”

Easy to see why Tracy Kidder has lasted decades in the field of non-fiction; while we may lose interest at some point, he paints an indelible picture in our minds of the characters he explores -years (4?) after i read this, i still have an image of paul farmer, the living proof that we can ALL make a difference in this world - for a bright spot in an otherwise depressing global environment right now, read this and you may even be inspired to make a difference in your own village!”
