I loved the way this story was written. It's an enjoyable fusion of fact and fiction, and a good introduction to the life and times of Jesus.

Although Jesus does make some cameo appearances, he's not the focus. It's a story about a young Jewish man named Daniel, who hates Romans and vows to help free his people from tyranny.

Daniel isn't a bad fellow, but he can be frustrating. He wallows in anger, often doing stupid things that endanger the lives of those around him. He can...
