The name of this book was FABULOSITY: WHAT IT IS AND HOW TO GET IT It really lived up to the name. It was written by Kimora Lee Simmons. The front has a picture of Miss Kimora looking all fabulous as I've often stared at it trying to decipher what she is wearing! ! !
The book was very empowering as it was meant to be. I actually found myself feeling like the woman warror she described when she spoke on asserting yourself and speaking out. The book is divided into chapters which cover the following areas: Self Belief and Confidence
Lesson 1: If Your Going to Buy Cavier Make it Belguin
Lesson 2 Le Freak C'est Chic
Lesson 3: Grab the Mic
Work and Power
Lesson 4 Throw Away the Manuel and Find Your Own Way into Business
Lesson 5 No Sucess Without Effort
Lesson 6: Be A Women Warrior
Independence
Law 7 Take Control of those Bills Bills Bills
Law 8 Don't Let Other People Cash in on your Game
Image and Body
Law 9 Builf s Powerful Persona
Law 10 Dress Like You Might Run Into your Worst Enemy
Law 11 Embrance Your Inner Goodess (Then Play with your Diva)
Romance and LifeStyle
Law 12 Lose Your Heart but Never your Head
Law 13 Strive For Fabalance
Positivity and Subtainabilty
Law 14 Defy the Haters
Law 15 Live Large Give Large
Law 16 Write Your Own Script.
You should DEFINITELY have a highlighter ready. This book is filled with great advice an tib bits on how to make your life OOZE with fabulosity! It has great insight. Kimorea talks about her childhood and modeling days as well as what she learned from running Baby Phat. On of my favorite parts was the collection of quotes at the end of each chapter from everyone to Lil Kim to Maya Angelou.
What I also loved about the book was her no holds barred and blunt to the point advice. It is mostly things that are common sense but presented in a positive and innovative way. lol I think it should be read once a month. It was a page turner keeping my interest with every new page as I tried to take everything in for a presentation I had to give. Great refrence material.
I loved that she helps you feel comfortable in your own skin and as Mary J Blidge sings Work What You Got! It was a very fun read that was hard to put down. I would recommend this book to all ladies and girls that don't feel great about themselves and need a little extra boost in the right direction! There are also very beautiful pictures of her and Russel and her girls which are a added bonus!
The only criticsm I have is some of her advice as it pretains to her lifestyles about clothes and accesories are a little over the top but then again this is Kimora Lee Simmons we are talking about. It's all a part of her bigger than life persona.
I really give a book 10 stars but this one was 10 star all the way!

“ok, so when i am getting ready to go out for the evening and i am deciding what to wear, many times i have "dressed down" so i dont appear better than my friends or the other women i am going out with. this shows you to be fabulous and not be afraid. being fabulous is a good thing. it doesnt mean you are stuck on yourself, just that you take pride and want to feel good. self esteem....good for everyday.”
