Mike Leonard knows how to tell a story, which is why reading this book was so enjoyable for me. I loved all the experiences he and his family had while on the road. I loved, too, their humanity and how things weren't perfect, just like they are for the rest of us!

I also thought that it was a supernal gift to give to his parents to take them on this trip. Despite their quirkiness, they add so much depth and color to the journey (I could listen to his sweet dad sing the songs of...

I couldn't finish this one. I found the parents to be portrayed as bumbling idiots. They did seem rather clueless. I got bored. Returned it to the library not finished.
