Easy read with about two hundred pages, describing the role of women in islam. This is a terrific book. It describes the every day role of a muslim woman in Saudi and compares it to a woman in Iran or Iraq or Kuwait...It is very real and to the point.

Honestly, this book does not even deserve one star. I'd give it negative, if I could. One can't help but but admire the marketing skills of Geraldine Brooks; though it has been done many times, she has reprised the idea of making a book revealing the 'behind the veil' real life look at 'Islamic women' which is, in fact, just an attempt to capitalize on people's ignorance. Full of errors, the clearly biased tone shows glimpses of the lives of several such Islamic women, nevermind that the...
