Well it made me think and it was memorable.....so it is up on my list of must reads. He has done some excellent research and I used much of this work to do my research study into SI as it applies to Executive Coaching.

The book is about how we feel about others and how we know what others are feeling.

Didn't even bother to finish it. A lot of conjecture. Very little science.

This book was assigned to me as a reading for my psychology class. at first i thought it would be another summer reading that was filled with dullness, but this was quite different. This book deals with many relationships and how our mind process is involved with basically everything. Fantastic book and perhaps my favorite one of all to read for school.

This is a book that I had to read for psychology and I found it to be very interesting because it explained how our emotions are transffered. I really liked how they compared emotions to being "contagious", which I learned they really are and how that works. Another thing in the book that I really liked was when they talked about the effect of the urban trance. I felt like that really applied to us New Yorkers.Everyone seems so into their own little worlds, that they lack to the notice nature's beauty and that there is a world besides them. I have also experienced that myself by just going to Europe. There people talk to perfect strangers and start converstations, something that would be seen as weird or akward here. I also researched a test done that proved this even further. It was concluded that people who are in hurry (most people in NY are in a hurry) tend to not see the things around them. In this case they didn't even stop to help a begger, even though they just came out of a religious confrence talking about helping people. This shows that even things like that don't have an effect on what we tend to do, but it's more about time.
The thing with our emotions is that they are constantly being triggered by our surroundings. Someone just being angry or sad around you can cause you to feel a similar way. It's like a bank, where we exchange and transfer our feelings. I would highly recommend this book, but I may warn that it gets complicated after a while and seems very repetitive.

This book is about how people interact with each other. It includes the neuroanatomy of people in relationships. It says that people who are better in communication are usually more successful. It also says that there is an economy of emotions and when one person is in a happy mood, the other people around him are also happy. Most of the book was boring except for little points in the book that were interesting. I also like the conclusion because it said that it is not the money that you spent that makes you happy, it is the time that is spent with your beloved friends and family.
