The title of this story is exactly what I had learned the most when I read this novel. One aspect in Chapter 8 about historical fiction is that it can broaden our perspective about history. Avi gave me a better perspective of who Edgar Allen Poe really was through a great mystery solving story that kept me reading until the end. ‘His words were slightly slurred. Edmund was taken aback. “You sent me to the store, sir.” “What store?”…Dupin continued to look at him blankly…Once again...

This weeks reading, a historical novel, The Man Who Was Poe, was dreadful. The book took me about a whole week to read, perhaps that is why I didn’t like it, or I may have been too distracted by all the characters.
