This was the first Lisa See book I have read, and I look forward to reading her other books.” see full review » see other reviews » |

I found this book to be good and worth reading. It was clearer than Snow Flower and I think I got all the important points. I marked a few passages to write down later. ”
“With Peony as the character's name from See's book, Snow Flower, I was expecting a continuation of the sage. However, i was pretty disappointed. Had I read this before Snow Flower, perhaps I would have liked it better. I would recommend her newest- Shanghai Girls.”
