Though the lights rarely go out in Las Vegas, many have reported encounters with otherworldly specters. Ghosts of all varieties haunt halls and corridors, and spirits of famous individuals are reputed to make regular visits. It is not uncommon to hear tales of Elvis idling around backstage at the Hilton Hotel and Liberace appearing at his favorite restaurant, Carluccio's. Other famed characters like Bugsy Siegel and Shoney, the once celebrated show elephant of the Luxor hotel, are also known to make their appearances from the other side. Haunted locations abound in this city of sin and frivolity.
