Citation - Clements, A. (1998). Frindle. New York: Aladdin.
Recommended Grade Level - 2nd+
Source - Recommended by fellow student.
Review - From Kirkus Reviews
"If there's any justice in the world, Clements may have something of a classic on his hands. By turns amusing and adroit, this first novel is also utterly satisfying. With comically realistic black-and-white illustrations by Selznick, this is a captivating tale--one to press upon children, and one they'll be passing among themselves."
My Thoughts - This book is fun, quirky, and definitely different. It's a great book to start a young reader who is just beginning to read chapter books. Not only is it a good read, but it also makes the reader stop and think, "can I borrow a frindle?"
