I am a Christian and have even taught religion classes for years. Rightous Christian judgements just bummed me out sometimes. I have to ask... why do you have your beliefs? Could it be because that is how you were taught? Or how you were raised? Just because a book does not follow a certain religious format or your families belief system does not mean it is not inspiring or that it is not a true account. None of us can prove exactly whats on the other side until we get there. And every soul can have a different experience. A differnt path. Who are we to judge others experiences, feelings, inspirations or how others may have been raised?

I read this book many years ago and was very moved by it spiritually and emotionally. First time I'd read anything like this. There are many more books out like this now and they are not really considered accult or new age anymore as maybe they once would have been. I read many of them, because although I know what I was taught, what i have read.. the truth is.. I have not been there yet. I'm not up to the task of judging anyone's higher power.

thinking about death, sounds frightening at the first blush , going to another world was mysterious to me . after reading this book a sweet love surrounded me which made me change my previous thought about death and God... you can return to your real home by death , the home that is much more lovely and peaceful than here below.

I don't know what "the Christian perspective of the afterlife" means as that seems to vary depending on denomination but the author has a near death experience and meets Jesus, who takes her on a journey and teaches her about Spiritual laws, which seems a little esoteric compared to most Christian writing but not compared to a lot of stuff I read.

You know, I read this book at the very beginning of my Spiritual awakening, which was some 10+ years ago, so I don't recall alot of the details about the book other than I think I read it in 1 or 2 days and cried (tears of joy!) at the end. It's a beautiful story of the author's NDE. I don't really think (or recall) it being from the Christian version per say...I just know that it filled my heart with such joy after I finished it.
Sorry I can't provide more specifics! I would recommend it highly though!! If you read it, let me know what you think when you're done...have a great day!--Claire

    what is this book like?

Is this book from the Christian perspective of the afterlife, or more like different theories of what might might happen after death? I'd like to know more about it. What did you think of it?
