That more or less ruined my day. When Sunny's older sister, Jazz, ran away to New York, Sunny was secretly relieved. Everyone loved Jazz, talked about Jazz, wished they were friends with Jazz. Jazz was perfect and Sunny was...well, not Jazz. Then Jazz's apartment building burns to the ground and she is presumed dead. Sunny's family, already broken by divorce, unravels. Dad's drinking skyrockets, and Mom's depression hits an all-time nonfunctioning low. Sunny is left to cope. Then they get a letter from Jazz saying she is coming home. But how? Jazz is dead, right?
”
“Jasmine doesn't miss Jazz. But her wholee family misses her, especially her mom which cries for her every day with Jazz's scrapbook in her hand.”

In the beginning a girl named Sunny received a letter from her dead sister. Her sister Jasmine died in a building fire about 2 months ago. The letter said that she didnt die and it was all just a misunderstanding. She said she would be coming back to live with her family again soon. But, when (Jasmine) showed up at her house, it wasn't the real Jasmine. Sunny had known from the minute (not-Jazz) walked in that it wasn't her real sister. She kept trying to find out who and why this imposter was here pretending to be her sister. Towards the end she found out that this same girl was also pretending to be many other different identies as well. The ending was really mysterious, and left me confused. Who really was the not-Jazz? Who did die in the fire? I didn't really understand it. ”
