Dead Girls Don't Write Letters was a really good book it drew me in and i didnt want to put it down. it was about a girl, sunny, whos big sister jazz ran off to new york when she was 18 and was thought to be dead when her apartment building burned down and the bodies were so chared they could not be identified. tht sends sunny's parents already rocky relationship into a downward spin. her dad had become a raging alcoholic and her mother plumeted into a deep depression and their father moved out. sunny was not living after that she was jus surviving. everyone loved jazz and they all compared what jazz was to was sunny wasnt wen a letter comes in the mail addressed from jazz sunny isnt quite sure what to do wen she reads it and cnt believe it. then jazz pulls up to the house and she is totally different not graceful and she doesnt have the deep raspy voice jazz had it all goes to the pooper from there and in the end Gail Giles has convinced me that i am crazy in the same way she had the mother and father make sunny think she was crazy. really good book easy read and super short. i recommend it to everyone.

Things had been getting a little better until I got a letter from my dead sister. That more or less ruined my day. When Sunny's older sister, Jazz, ran away to New York, Sunny was secretly relieved. Everyone loved Jazz, talked about Jazz, wished they were friends with Jazz. Jazz was perfect and Sunny was...well, not Jazz. Then Jazz's apartment building burns to the ground and she is presumed dead. Sunny's family, already broken by divorce, unravels. Dad's drinking skyrockets, and Mom's depression hits an all-time nonfunctioning low. Sunny is left to cope. Then they get a letter from Jazz saying she is coming home. But how? Jazz is dead, right?
