this book is about a young girl who loses her parents and lives with her grandfather until she is 17. when trouble arises, she strikes out on her own and it takes her awhile to find her family again. this is a "christian" book that gets a little to preachy for me. i did enjoy it, and would recommend it to my baptist friends, but not to fellow catholics. there were a few times i felt judged for my beliefs.
