Oddly, I’ve only read two books in the “Void” universe, this one and The Lazarus Effect.

The Jesus Incident follows the Ship and his crew of human clones to the planet Pandora. As a developed AI, the Ship is essentially an artificial god, and he is rather preoccupied (to say the least) with getting people to WorShip him properly. And, of course, Herbert’s interest in the effects of stressful environments on human life overflows into this universe, much like it does in...
