Fascinating read for anyone interesting in the Japanese banking system, economy, or just Japan. The analysis of Japanese perceptions of foreign investment funds seems particularly relevant right now (e.g Steel Partners, etc.).

    Interesting look at the Japanese banking system (both pre and post bubble). If you have any interest in the Japanese economy, this book helps to place in context many of the problems that continue to plague the Japanese financial system to this day.
