“It's kind of corny, like "Our Town" (which I liked a lot more). I can't say I understand why folks would make a yearly summer ritual of reading this, but apparently some do. It's not a horrible book, but it's a series of strung together vignettes that didn't, for me, ever cohere into something greater than its parts.”
