“From the scary to the funny to the heartbreaking, each secret in these books is absolutely captivating. I am always astounded at the PostSecret Project and the responses it elicits in me. What is even more astounding is that the author of this book had absolutely nothing to do with its content, other than provide a mailbox.
As I read the postcards, there is always an emotional swing in each one. Some make me laugh, some make me want to cry, some make me angry and some make me want to reach through the book and give the writer of that particular card a big hug and say, "I've been there."
The anonymity is what is appealing to the people who bare their souls to the world though a simple postcard. Frank Warren lets the cards speak for themselves, offering no commentary, no judgment. It's just a bare confession and I think that is why people have responded so strongly to this project.
My only complaint is that some secrets have been set up as a double-paged spread and the gutter breaks up the card. Other than that, I have no complaints and I will continue to buy these books and visit the website for as long a Frank puts peoples' secrets out there for us to share.”
