Very intresting. This book highlighted areas of Kurt's life that had been showdowed.

"Heavier Than Heaven" by Charles Cross, is by far my favorite book. It is the biography of Nirvana's late frontman, Kurt Cobain. It is very descriptive about his life from all aspects.
It tells from when Cobain was a homeless junkie, to being one of most famous rock icons of the 90s.
I honestly could not put that book down it had so many different interesting encounters Cobain had, even ones with Axl Rose. (Whom of which was definitely not a favorite of Cobain.)
"Heavier Than Heaven" gave me different emotions,

HEYY DEARINGGG[3 you're my favorite. I love you.

Manages to capture the intimate aspects of the story while still being able to convey the massive impact this band and this person had on the music world. Nirvana's never been one of my favorite bands, but I appreciate their contributions and can certainly see why others valued them so much. Dwells on Cobain's addictions quite a bit, but I suppose that's fitting as it was such a huge part of Cobain's later years.

In the biography of Kurt Cobain, the mysteries of his past life unravels from childhood to his death. By using people in Kurt Cobain's life, Charles R. Cross was able to piece together Kurt's life together. Important influences, financial problems and many other conflicts made Kurt the way he is now. Such as the childhood conflict of his best friend being gay. Kurt thought he was gay because of this controversy. The life of Kurt Cobain continues!

Conflicting feelings about this book. I found it fascinating because it tells a lot about the history of the making of the band and details about Kurt as he grew up....
However, the author took some liberties and tried too much to guess at how Kurt was feeling and the reasons behind his behaviors
.....which he could only speculate about but he would write it as if he KNEW what Kurt was thinking. That really irritated me. The author did not know what was going through Kurt's mind the day he died, but he wrote as if he did. Makes for a good fiction I suppose but this is a biography. I also heard that the author got a lot of his info from Courtney, and we all know she is hardly a truthful person...changing details of history as she sees fit. So you have to take this book worth a grain of salt. I just enjoyed listening to the development of the band as they struggled to become popular which eventually became a big part of their undoing.
So, Nirvana fans beware!! Read it if you love the band but look past the parts where the author pretends to know what Kurt was really thinking.
