“Heavier Than Heaven allows readers to look at Kurt Cobain in a new and exciting way. It has many different topics and things that allow us to see Kurt Cobain in a new way. It also includes information about his friends and family and gives us an inside view of how they interacted with Kurt. Charles Cross had many interviews in order to get this information. He interviewed people like Kurt’s old teachers, principals and so on. These people gave more information about Kurt than what was previously known, and further enhances our knowledge about him. This makes this a great biography of Kurt Cobain.
The main people in this biography are, Kurt Cobain, his wife Courtney Love, and the people who were close to Kurt. This book’s setting jumped around to many places. It starts with his childhood and explains how he was always an abnormal child. He drew many vulgar and disturbing drawings. It then takes us to how Kurt was homeless and all the struggles he had to go through to survive one night. Once all the poverty was over, Heavier Than Heaven displays how Kurt became famous and who he was in his best years. But, not all was good in his life. Kurt was experiencing many stomach pains and didn’t know how to relieve it. This caused him to fall into a depression which altered his life like no other.
This book is the most complete biography found of Kurt Cobain. It has razor sharp insight about Kurts life. This book is recommended to those who enjoyed Kurt Cobain and his music, and are above the age of 14. If there are fans of this famous guy, then this book will please the reader, by providing new hindsight about Kurt. This is a great read, if somebody wants more information about their favourite artist.

“Incredibly depressing, not overly enlightening bio of the doomed Kurt Cobain. Leaves you wondering how he managed to stay alive as long as he did. I felt like I needed a shower after reading about this talented loser.”Regan wrote this review Saturday, December 3, 2011. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
