Fascinating and definitive work, not only on the People's Temple and Jonestown, but on what goes into cult-making.

A very well written book, one persons journey into and through one of modern history's worst cult mass suicides. How a dream of peace and social change, can lead people down a path that at once seems something wholly different than what lies at the core. Deceit, greed, corruption, and ultimately out right madness.

Good book. You may wonder why people would have been so involved in such a horrible, cult that ended in mass suicide. this book shows the natural progression of the programming and mind altered states the people went through. a real eye opener especially for those deeeply involved in religion. a cautionary tale...

Great read. Really gave me a good idea of what it was like to be a part of Jim Jones' cult. Very disturbing but very good.
