Sorry to disagree with previous reviews, but I thought if was a waste of time. I'm a little leery of time-travel books anyway, and found this one a poor example of it. So she went back to 1299 with him -- good.

The Sorceress decided that her next warrior, the thirteenth century Welsh legend Reynold the Mortimer will be, better known as the "Ghost" seven centuries ago. He was tough, but honest and keeps his land and people safely for the plundering of English and Welsh men.
Nonetheless, he spilled his change for peace after he died in 1299 and send his men to war.
Thus he pays now for his arrogance and ultimate failure.

In the present, Amy Fairweather is a guest on the castle of Reynold the Mortimer, where a tourist Medieval Weekend is going on. Although she prefer not to be there, she promise her brother to help him and agreed to seduce prince Nicco, so that her brother can steal the diamond "Star of Russia".
Only as Nicco tries to seduce Amy on the North tower of the castle, Reynold interfer. Reynold sees that Amy is uncomfortable with the situation and as the gentlemen he is, he helps her to get ride of Nicco.

But Reynold is still overwhelmed by his re-awakening and soon finds out that his castle is no longer his, but a hotel. Besides that he is also confuses of the attraction Amy has on him.
And when the two of them are falling in love, Amy begins to believe that Reynold is telling the truth, that he is the real owner of the castle. Especially when Reynold old enemy is free also, a century old, fire spitting dragon.

This third romantic fantasy is absolute a pleasant story to read.
Reynold is perfect as he fight himself through the modern world, where everything he learned has disappeared.
But quickly enough he finds out that there are things the same, like honour and love still has the same value.
Amy is his perfect guide through the twenty first century.
When they fight together against an arrogant royal prince and deadly dragons, they are falling in love and soon they cannot life any longer without each other.

After the “Return or the Highlander and Secrets or the Highwaymen” Sara MacKenzie did it again.
She has written a lovely novel in the present, with Medieval elements in it.
What I love about this book, is that in the epilogue of this book, the Sorceress thinks back at
MacLean & Bella and Nathaniel & Melanie and let us know actually how their life went on after the book has finished, not much of course but enough.

Of course I cannot wait till the next book in the series comes out, so I went to the website to see when.
By the end of the year there will be a short story of the Sorceress on the website and the following book comes out in July 2008.
So we have to wait long for the next book…..but I hope that it will be as much fun as the first 3 books.
