  “I read this book as am assignment in History class like, forever ago...and have read it over again countless times since. It is a wonderful, intense, fast paced and honest novel about Texas' San Antonio area and the women who kept their families alive. Beautiful and captivating...every young lady should read this book about courage, love and loyalty!”
