“The story line was different and he character dialog was real. I enjoyed this book, but it was a very fast read. I thougt the story line had so much potenial, it just ended so quickly. Hopefully there's a sequel in the making.”

“YA science fiction, and romance? Looking for a compelling romance my YA folks will enjoy. // Turns out better than I expected. I liked the complex plot and and its turns. Hope there is a sequel.”

“I loved this book, and couldn't put it down - I read it in two days, and I had to work both days, so I was taking advantage of any free time I could find to read it! The main characters are well developed, and although some of the main points of the mystery surrounding them could be easily guessed, the details were intriguing enough to keep me reading.”

“Sci-Fi Lite for reluctant space brains. An entertaining read. Interesting main characters, but then, I have a thing for pilots. Balanced romance. The intrigue is a little anticlimactic, but it's the sort of book where I didn't care as long as we get a good snog in. Aerin and Dane form a dubiouis friendship when they attend the same school. Aerin lands at the school after barely surviving her break-neck escape from slavery on a distant planet. Dane is escaping his family. Both have pasts that haven't been fully revealed, the knowledge which will ultimately connect them. I would like to see this story continued. ”

“This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Whilst set in the future, it wasn't overly sci fi which suited my tastes, and the descriptions of Dane's planet were extremely vivid. I found Dane and Aerin to be strong, likable and very believable characters, and while the book was not as romantic as the cover suggests, I did enjoy watching Dane and Aerin's relationship develop as they gradually learned to trust each other with their secrets. I only hope Anne Osterlund intends to write a sequel because I want to find out how the two teenagers survive their second year at Academy 7.”
