• This book continues the story of Schuyler's life and quest to stop the movement of the silver bloods and their attacks. Now she is left alone in this world, her grandfather is no longer by her side and her mother is still in a comma.coma. Schuyler is on the run, she was thought to be involved in the murder of her grandfather. She has been moving from country to country with Oliver running from the Leviathan that was set free in the last book. She and Oliver are looking for help from one of the most noblest blue bloods in Europe, they attend their ball and unexpectidlyunexpectedly run into Jack and Charles Force. They are quickly brought up to date that they must leave the castle they are in because it is crawling with silver bloods. Schuyler and Jack leave the castle while Charles is left behind fighting the Leviathan and Oliver is left fighting the silver bloods for their distraction. Schuyler and Jack are chased by the Leviathan undergoundunderground and are caught in his grasp when Charles comes to the rescue and takes out the Leviathan by opening a portal in which he gets trapped between the two worlds. Jack leaves to New York and Oliver and Schuyler return to New York due to Oliver's persistance.persistence. They arrive in New York and thanks to Oliver and Jack Schuyler is unquestioned. Bliss is fighting Lucifer whom is holding her trapped within her own body and mind. Lucifer takes control of Bliss in an effort to eliminate Schuyler. All the while Mimi goes searching for Jordan Llewayn since Jordan is the Watcher. She finds Jordan's dead body but quickly learns that Jordan can move from body to body and returns back to New York to continue planning her bonding with Jack. Schuyler's mom finally awakes from her comma but has little time with Schuyler she tells Schuyler that she must complete the Van Alen Legacy and leaves Schuyler to find and help Charles. Bliss realizes that Lucifer is her father and that Allegra is her mother. And everything unrolesunravels at Mimi's bonding, in the middle of her ceremony there is a silver blood attack and Bliss trystries to kill Schuyler. They are sent into a glom in which Schuyler, Kingsley, Leviathan, Lucifer are all there. Schuyler is trapped with the leviathan on her side of the gate and knigsleyKingsley under the leviathan's foot with Lucifer next to her side. Schuyler soon finds out she is the sacrifice the demons need to open the gate of time. But as all seemed lost Jack and Mimi appear in the glom, Jack and Mimi jump over the gate and Jack is caught in a fight with Lucifer and gets injured.Lucifer then goes after Schuyler and has her in his grip when Mimi appears and releases her, Kingsley starts the fight with the Leviathan and sacrifices himself to close the gate. Kingsley gets trapped in hell leaving Mimi broken hearted. Schuyler gets Jack back to New York out of the glom, but he is weak and needs red blood. So she and Jack go against the rules and Schuyler lets Jack drink from her since she is a half-blood. Bliss then appears with a piece of sharp glass in her hand and is taken over by luciferLucifer to try to kill Schuyler but she resists and stabs the glass into her own body taking luciferLucifer out of her body. Mimi and Jack are set for a re-due of their bonding, but Jack doesn't show up. Bliss awakens and finds herself with Allegra Van Alen and Miss Murray which she soon finds out is Jordan. Schuyler finds Oliver waiting in her apartment and they leave to the terminal as they are planning to go to Florence to find the other gatekeepers. But Jack arrives and Oliver tells ShuylerSchuyler he is not going with her to Florence instead Jack will accompany her. And so Jack and Schuyler completely in love with each other are on their own on their quest to Florence to find the remaining blue blood gatekeepers.
