For a read-alone, I'd say this was a book for ages 10 and up, though for a read-aloud, it would work for ages 7 and up. It would be most appreciated for kids who are familiar with the classic Euro-American tales (Red Riding Hood, The Three Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, etc.)

This clever book was a lot of fun to read and brought back some characters I hadn't thought about for a while. I'm anxious to read the next one!

I love the Brothers Grimm stories, and this book really plays well to them! I am currently reading the third one, I'm sure that the third will be as awesome as the others!
