  “I admit, my grade on this novel may be prejudiced, but I just cannot get into dominant/submissive relationships where the hero is the submissive one. Heck, they do some BDSM play where she whips him, ties him up and so forth. I freely admit I skimmed the rest of the novel after that happened, feeling at that point confident they would never turn the tables on their roles...”

  “Ugh. Kinsale's stilted writing style is bad enough, but heroine rape and then deliberate mutilation and torture of the hero? No. This book is dreadful.”
