Didn’t Like It

It isn't that this is a bad book, but it didn't really engage me. For the most part, I found it dull. However, if you're a big political history buff, you might really enjoy it. My favorite chapters were on John Quincy Adams and Thomas Hart Benton, who were pretty colorful characters. In my opinion, though, JFK is pretty committed to his subjects as courageous, and so even when he's mentioning a senator's flaws, it still sounds like praise rather than analysis.
