posts Technology and education are such a fantastic topic! Recently someone relayed this little anecdote:
Rip Van Winkle, after sleeping for 200 years awakens in 2007 and begins to walk around. He shudders as an airplane flies by and wonders what this huge metal bird could be. He comes to a road and is almost killed by whizzing metal boxes with wheels carrying people by at great speeds. Exhausted and frightened he walks into a school and here he finds comfort because almost everything is as it was, except maybe the chalkboard is a different color.
I know there are some exceptions to this, a few schools that have had the funding or beneficiaries to put in computers (at least in the library) but really is education keeping up with the times. How do you think we can better education using technology? Should we change the way our children are learning?
Let's start a lively discussion and start choosing books to enrich the experience.
I hope you will join me to discuss this very important topic!
