I rooted for Theresa July and Madison Nance from their initial meeting and kept rooting for them through the book's end. And in between, I got treated to more of Beverly Jenkins' terrific steamy romantic writing. Goodness this woman knows how to steam up my glasses! She also knows how to give us some terribly funny supporting characters, like Madison's mom and her good friend who owns the ranch where Theresa gets to ride while nostalgically remembering her own horse, Cloud. And once Theresa's brothers enter the story again, well, anyone familiar with Neil & Two Shafts know they'll get laughs. But now, the remaining two brothers are introduced and it is belly-laughing time. Excellent book.

Teresa July was once the most wanted woman in the west. After spending some time in prison, she is released to a Molly Nance wealthy society woman to reform her. This is not the first time Molly has taken in an ex-convict to reform and Madison is out to make sure his mother does not get hurt this time around. His only problem is he feels a compelling attraction to the former outlaw.

These two characters played minor roles in previous books so you are able to revisit some old characters.

If you haven't read a Beverly Jenkins historical, you are definitely missing out. I love Bev J for her historicals. They are full of history mixed with plenty of hot steamy romance.

I want a Madison. I was in love with another man from one of Mrs. Jenkins' previous books-Dixon Wildhorse-Topaz, but he has been replaced. I love this book-I love Madison.
