These books are narrated by a boy who is telling of his father's adventures in rescuing a dragon and the further adventures they have afterward. In the first book, Elmer Elevator must journey through a jungle and pass many wiley animals in order to save a dragon who has been being held captive on Wild Island. In the second book, Elmer wants to go home and the dragon decides to fly...
