Lauren Greenfield is an incredible photographer, a remarkable combination of a brilliant documentarian and cultural commentator. Her book, 'Girl Culture', included a variety of photographs which highlight the compromised nature of young female beauty and sexuality in a culture which simultaneously demeans and fetishizes it. 'Thin' seems like a natural extension of 'Girl Culture'. It's beautiful, grotesque, upsetting, fascinating and many more things I don't have the words to describe....
