“Wow, that might be the only word I can say to fully describe this book. Laila and Mariam go through extreme hardships and tribulations through this book. From dealing with their abusive husband Rasheed to living with the cruelties of living in the Middle East with the Taliban in control. Through extreme measure and gut wrenching plot jumps this book takes you places that you would never even realize existed, and puts you in the shoes of people that you want to sit and cry with, because of the unfair predicament. This book was so amazing and I truly feel head over heel in love with it and the main characters Laila and Mariam. Truly a five thumb up rating!!”

I HATE RASHEED! his character is so horrible the imagery and way his is described is discusting. amazing book ”
