Something Even Better

I really enjoyed Something Borrowed but this book definitely took the cake. It is a continuation and recap of the first book, this time taking on the point of view of Darcy, Rachel's best friend. In the beginning, Darcy has such hate and resentment for both Rachel and Dex that she literally cannot even think straight. She wants to make them both jealous and miserable by taking her relationship with Ethan even further with the father of her unborn child and groomsman from her wedding. As she becomes more obsessed with Rachel and Dex's relationship and betrayal to her, she becomes more neurotic, pushing her new relationship to break.

After reaching her breaking point with her family, her man, her new "best friend" and basically herself, Darcy decides to visit her and Rachel's childhood friend, Ethan, in London. This is where she makes her huge turnaround and literally surprises the reader with what she's capable of and how she turns her life and outlook around.

After reading Something Borrowed I wasn't sure if I wanted to read Darcy's story in something blue being that I found myself rooting for Rachel and Dex.

Something Blue is just as funny and exciting as the first one! It offers the reader a chance to get to know Darcy, even if you find her to be shallow and self centered. You will find yourself rooting for her and maybe even liking her at the end. Something Blue is a MUST READ. Definelty worth the 5 stars

This was a fantastic book to read right after "Something Borrowed". What a surprise when I realized who the narrator was - very clever! I highly recommend these two books. I look forward to reading Emily Griffin's additional novels.

After reading Something Borrowed, I didn't care for Darcy Rhone at all. But after reading Something Blue...I fell in love with her. I honestly wanted all of them to be happy, to each come out on top. And in this book, they all do. I have read all three of Emily Giffin's books and I can't wait for her to put out another one!
Not what I expected

Something Blue was a pleasent surprise, I actually enjoyed it more than Something Borrowed. It was hard for me in the begining because I wasn't sure what I thought of reading through the eyes of Darcy, however I got into it very quickly. Its an easy and enjoyable read, and I definatly think it does justice to Something Borrowed. One shouldn't read one and not the other.
