“I like the prose and the voice of the character. But it also seemed to me redundant and repetitive. There’s nothing wrong in redundancy if the author wished to give a strong emphasis on the character’s thoughts, but it can also be tiring. The plot is very simple, but the way it was written was like pieces of puzzle you have to rearrange to figure out; I like that it was done that way, making the novel simple and intriguing at the same time. It was very poignant and interesting, but it somehow failed to affect me powerfully. It did, but quite faintly. I won’t say it was entertaining, much more a light read, since it was such a very emotional book. But what I liked best was the ending, and I don’t mean it the wrong way. I liked how the conflict was somehow resolved in the end, and how it was very hopeful. And what I also liked most how this book gave me a perspective on people who have bipolar and how it affects the people who loves them.”
