I read this last year and it has stuck with me. I was completely taken off guard with this one. I loved it. Joyce Carol Oates really know human emotion and you feel for the characters in this book. I recommend this one for anyone who wants a thrilling story!

I'm a Joyce Carol Oates fan, but I couldn't finish this book. I was sooooo bored with the protagonist. And I can't help but wonder if Oates has fallen on her head and lost her ability to write a complete sentence. Very irritating read for me.
