I love this book and it's one of my all-time favorites. Very sad, very accurate portrait of working poor adolescence.

Well I really wouldn't even give this one star -- but this site doesn't have 1/2 stars. I started reading this book after my cousin told me how she loved the story -- but I started reading it and I HATED it! I hated the way it was written - it just sucked! I can't remember how much I actually read but I know I didn't get far. I enjoyed the movie much more and thought that between the movie and the book the movie is actually worth watching - Angelia Jolie is great in it. Use the book for a...
